Can you believe that we wrestled at school? But don't worry, it was air wrestling, not real wrestling! We did it using plastic syringes and plastic tubing. First, we experimented with pushing air out of the syringe by pushing in the plunger. Then, we hooked two syringes together with plastic tubing. When we both pushed on a syringe at the same time, it was harder to get the plunger down. In fact, if one person pushed really hard, the other person's syringe went up, not down! Sometimes, it even popped right off!! We learned that this is because of air pressure. When we pushed the plungers on both syringes, we were squeezing, or compressing the air. When air is compressed, it is under pressure!
