Welcome to the Reading Cafe! Can I take your order? Want to know what's on the menu? How about a Book Burger? Or a nice, juicy Story Steak with a side of Character Carrots? Now, we're just being silly. Here's what's really in the Reading Cafe - books and reading strategies! We go there to listen to great stories that Mrs. Freeman reads to us. It is so fun! We also learn about reading strategies and IDR (Independent Daily Reading). We will read every day in second grade. We are already reading for more than twenty minutes each day!!! Now you know all about the Reading Cafe. Do you still want that Story Steak with Character Carrots? Read apetit!

I'm really glad we are reading for more then 20 minutes. I keep on getting more comfortable nooks. I already know where I'm going to sit on Monday. I know I'm not going to get my first choice, let's just hope!

I'm not really in a book burger mood right now, but I would like some story steak with a side of character carrots and a book brownie. I'd also like a story smoothie to go with it.
