Hi! It's us again! Remember when we told you about the science mystery? The one about Larry, Curley, and Moe? Well, we solved the mystery! The three different creatures we had in our observation cups were really the same kind of creature, but at different stages of their life cycle. Moe is the youngest, but he is really called a larva, or a mealworm. Larry comes next, but he is really a pupa. And last comes Curley, the oldest. He is really an adult beetle! The way a pupa turns into a beetle is really cool. All those stages combined together are called metamorphosis. And now we creatures to study, called waxworms! We think they might go through metamorphosis too!
