Background:
Old Henry is about a man who moves into an old, dirty, cracked-up, run-down house. He likes it that way because he's comfortable there. The other people in the neighborhood are scolding him for not fixing it up.
What we like about it:
We like the character of Old Henry, because he never complains. For example, when he moved into the house, he didn't complain about the cracks in the walls, the broken balcony, or the crumbly chimney. We also liked him because he was brave and he didn't care what other people thought of his house. We like the illustrations, too. They were made using colored pencils, and they had lots of details so you could see how broken-down everything was.
Recommendation:
If you like colorful rhyming books that have a good message, you should read this book!
Rating:
We give Old Henry 3 out of 5 stars.
