One windy morning, it was time for our first field trip. We were so excited to see all the animals! We couldn't wait to go! We were going to the zoo to learn about maps. First, we had to put all our stuff in our lockers, but not our coats! That's because we were going to be outside all day. Next, we got with our groups and got ready to go. We fast walked out to the bus and got on. Soon came the best part - getting to the zoo! We already knew just where we were going to go. Each group got to make our own maps before we went. Every group saw different animals because we got to choose what we wanted to see. Some of our favorites were: butterflies, lions, reptile house, gorillas, bears, red pandas, zebras, and prairie dogs. The last thing we did was play on the playground. This was such a fun field trip, and we hope we get to do it again in third grade! Bye!
